Gambaran Kalsium pada Urin Peminum Alkohol di Desa Banjardawa Kecamatan Taman Kabupaten Pekalongan

Abstract

Alcohol (ethanol or ethyl alcohol) is an ingredient found in beer, wine, and other alcoholic beverages that causes hangovers. Excessive alcohol consumption interferes with vitamin D metabolism, increases the excretion of calcium, magnesium, zinc excretion in the urine and increases the risk of fractures. Calcium is a mineral that the body needs to build and maintain strong bones and to perform many important functions. Alcohol can cause an increase in the content of calcium salts in the body's tissues, abnormal calcium in the kidneys is known as nephrocalcinosis, which means an increase in the content of calcium in the kidneys and calcium in the urine. This study aims to determine the presence of calcium in the urine of alcoholic drinkers in Banjardawa Village Taman District Pemalang Regency. The type of research conducted is descriptive using purposive sampling technique (sampling quota) obtained a sample of 23 residents. Method of examination of urine calcium with sulkowitch. The results of the study showed that from 23 samples, 100% positive alcohol consumption samples contained urinary calcium, 3 samples were positive (+) and (++) with a percentage of 13.04% and as many as 12 samples were positive (++++) with a percentage of 52 .18%. Based on the results of the examination, it was concluded that 100% of the samples of positive alcohol consumption contained urinary calcium.
