Abstract

The development of globalization has a significant impact on society. This is marked by the emergence of various new trends, one of which is the food sector. Currently, people, especially teenagers, tend to prefer fast food which is considered more practical and can increase prestige. Fast food itself is fast food that has been processed and preserved before being served. The emergence of fast food that does not meet food safety standards can certainly result in health problems. The growth of microorganisms in food ingredients can cause unwanted physical and chemical changes, so that the food becomes unfit for consumption. Food poisoning can be caused by mold, yeast and bacteria, of the three microorganisms, food damage is dominated by the bacteria Clostridium botulinum which causes botulinum infections which are often found in preserved foods. The human body was created with all the advantages it has. The living environment, wherever it is, is often infested with viruses and bacteria. However, the body has a defense mechanism to ward off or prevent bacteria and viruses from entering the body. In order to provide an understanding of the prevention aspects of poisoning by microorganisms, it is necessary to educate the community, especially teenagers who are closely related to the habit of consuming preserved foods or fast food in order to increase consumer understanding of the importance of avoiding microbial contamination in food and efforts to maintain immunity in students of SMKN1 Kedungwuni, Pekalongan Regency.
